People First
Everything begins with people—from the farmers who grow our ingredients to the families who enjoy them around their tables.
Some ideas begin in boardrooms. Ours began in a kitchen.
I was raised in Mumbai, India, where food was never simply something we ate. It was how love was expressed, how traditions were passed on and how care quietly appeared in everyday moments.
Whenever I wasn't feeling well, my mum would make me haldi dudh—golden milk.
Long before it found its place on café menus around the world, it was something far more personal to me.
It was, quite simply, a hug in a mug.
Years later, my journey took me from India to Australia and eventually to Europe.
I studied and began building my professional career across India and Australia, before moving to Europe for love.
Switzerland—and especially Zurich—became the place where I built a home and started a family of my own.
Professionally, I had built a successful career in finance and banking.
Personally, life became much harder.
Almost seven years ago, the life I knew began to fall apart.
Like so many people, I found myself living with constant stress and anxiety, trying to keep everything together while quietly running on empty.
I didn't need another productivity hack.
I didn't need another energy drink.
I needed that feeling again.
The feeling that everything would be okay.
So I returned to something I already knew.
Not because it was fashionable.
Not because it was trending.
But because it had always been part of my life.
Drawing on the traditions I grew up with, I began working with experts to create a blend of carefully selected spices and adaptogenic herbs that recreated that same feeling of comfort and calm.
It became my own daily moment of pause.
A small ritual that helped me feel more grounded amidst the pace of modern life.
Then I realised something.
I wasn't the only one searching for that feeling.
Across the world, more people than ever are living with stress, constant stimulation and lives that rarely slow down.
Yet the answer doesn't have to be changing everything we eat or how we live.
Sometimes, it begins with something beautifully simple.
The foods and drinks we already enjoy.
That's why MAMMA VEDA exists.
To make moments of wellbeing as effortless as making a cup of coffee—and as comforting as sharing a cup of chai.
We envision a future where everyday food naturally supports calmer minds, clearer thinking and more meaningful moments.
A future where innovation respects tradition, where modern food systems honour both people and the planet, and where wellbeing becomes part of everyday life—not an exception to it.
Everything begins with people—from the farmers who grow our ingredients to the families who enjoy them around their tables.
We believe trust is earned through transparency, quality and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Food has always been about bringing people together.
Everything we create is inspired by that simple idea: from one heart to another.
We believe businesses have a responsibility to care for the planet as thoughtfully as they care for the people they serve.
That means prioritising plant-based ingredients, regenerative farming practices and responsible sourcing wherever possible.
We believe meaningful innovation happens together.
That's why we work alongside chefs, food innovators, researchers and our women-led farming partners to create products that deliver lasting value across the entire value chain.
MAMMA VEDA isn't simply about creating another ingredient.
It's about creating a better way forward.
We source directly from women-led farming cooperatives in India, supporting regenerative agricultural practices and helping strengthen local communities. Through our partners, profits are reinvested into mental health initiatives for low-income families, extending the impact beyond the food itself.
Every decision we make is guided by a simple belief: when businesses care for people and the planet together, everyone benefits.
Whether you're exploring a new product, refreshing an existing menu or looking for new ways to delight your customers, we'd love to hear about your ideas. Every collaboration begins with a conversation.
